Disabled People Organisation Promotion Meeting 19th June 2010, Tirupur The DPO Promotion meeting was held at Tirupur on 19th June 2010. It was organized by UDIS Forum in coordination with Mr. Sathishkumar who works for the welfare of PWDs in Tirupur. The Vice President of UDIS Forum, Mr. Subramania Siva inaugurated the meeting and in his address he explained about the network concept of UDIS Forum. He also mentioned the role of the Forum in facilitating placement services to the PWDs.Mr. Surya Nagappan in his address appealed to the PWDs to not only fight for the rights but also to do the duties. He insisted that only by doing so the PWDs can raise the standard of living and asked everyone to increase their employability skills by using the available resources. The Coordinator, Mr. Sathishkumar in his address came forward to facilitate self employment for the PWDs in association with the Forum at Tirupur. 34 PWDs and 3 parents attended the meeting. ++ Top
